1470 - A word of warning to those in leadership in our nation concerning arrogance and hypocrisy related to Israel.

Welcome to On the Way. This is Tony Crisp, and this is Podcast 1470. Today I want to share my heart with you about the situation in the Middle East, the situation with Israel, with Iran, and with the United States and its leadership. First of all, I want to look at this from a totally political standpoint. Recently, our president that I am an avid supporter of, I want you to understand that. I am for our president. I thank God for him because his policies have made America stronger, and some of the things that he has done, it's going to take those who are enemies of the cross of Christ, those who are in favor of a type of government that is contrary to the free enterprise system and capitalism, and for freedom, and for the republic as we know it and as it was founded upon biblical values. Please understand that there is a spiritual battle that's going on that we're going to deal with in just a few minutes. But I want to talk to you about the political situation that we're facing. I believe that our president, again, that I support, that I praise God for his policies. I believe that he is being deceived. And I believe he has bad counselors around him. Not all. I believe there are some good, godly men who know biblical truth, who stand upon biblical principles. But I believe also that our president is being deceived into thinking this is about money and about economics, and it's far greater than that. This is a battle for the soul of America. And I've heard our president make some statements that deeply trouble me. I've heard him twice with my own ears in interviews and when he's speaking publicly, say that Israel would not be in existence if it were not for him. Israel. And he talks about Israel like they're the enemy, and like they are a vassal of the United States of America. Now, if you want to talk with me about Israel and what we have given them since their beginning in nineteen forty eight, I'll be happy to do that. But I want to say to you, you better get your boots on and do your research. I've been doing this now for seventeen years at the highest levels in American politics. I have sat with senators, I have sat with those who are heads of committees, I have been in committee meetings behind the scenes where the work is really done. I have listened to the good, bad, and ugly that are in leadership in our government. I have been in the same room with those who are in leadership now and who have been in leadership. I've sat with the heads of the Foreign Relations Committee, those who are dealing with foreign affairs. I have been in the same room with Secretary of State. I have been on the same podium with the President of the United States, and I have been in meetings at the highest level of the U.S. Israel relationship. I know and advocated for the monies that we share with the military establishment of the State of Israel, the IDF. I know where the money went, I know where it not only went, but what it was used for, how America benefited from that, and how we are still benefiting today with our shared intelligence, shared warfare. And I believe it is the height of hypocrisy for our president and especially our vice president, who is yet a young man and untested and unseasoned, to tell a seasoned leader of the greatest ally we have and have had in the state of Israel that he needs to stand down and allow people to fire rockets, the enemy to fire rockets and send drones and to have a huge population of their country to not even be able to go to their homes because the enemy is sending rockets in. Now think about this. What would our president do? What would our young vice president do if indeed if Canada and Mexico or Cuba or Venezuela were sending thousands of missiles and rockets and drones into any of our states across our borders? Well, we wouldn't stand for that in a moment. Our president, when a drone hit one of our helicopters, he did much damage to the enemy and he didn't even hesitate. But yet they're telling Israel you don't need to fire when fired upon. That is idiocy and it's the height of hypocrisy. And that needs to be called out. And it has been called out by men that are greater than I am, but I do have an audience that listens to me every day in 170 nations around the world, and in now over 4,300 cities, and I'm going to sound the alarm because our president is acting like a Nebuchadnezzar and like those of the Amalekites that want to destroy what God is trying to do. The purpose of government is to punish evildoers, and that is those who are foreign adversaries and those that are within our own borders. That's the purpose of government. That's the purpose of authority. It's not to turn on those that have been our friends. Because let me tell you, you know this, and I know this for those of you who are listening, that Iran is the enemy of Israel, but it is primarily the enemy of America. Israel just happens to be closer to them for them to strike them easier. If they could wipe America off the face of the earth, the very ones that President Trump is dealing with, they would do it in a minute. And the only reason they're not is because they know they cannot right now with the strength of our military. The reason they haven't wiped Israel off the face of the earth is simply because they know that Israel has a strong military and they fear Israel. And the reason is because they are sons of the enemy of our souls. Now all you have to do is read the book of Daniel and you will see that Gabriel, the angel of God, when he was dealing with Daniel, he was withheld from answering prayers on behalf of Daniel. And it was a period of many days that he was held in check by the prince of Persia, the demonic overlord of Persia. The same overlord that was there during the days of Cyrus and Darius is the same demonic leader that is there today, and he is a deceiver. And he wants to destroy the people of God, the nation of Israel, and he wants to destroy the church of God, which is those who are followers of Jesus, both Jew and Gentile. And we need to wake up and smell the coffee and understand spiritually and politically that we are fighting a spiritual battle. It's not just a political battle, but it is a political battle. But the pride of our president and the arrogance of our president and the arrogance of our vice president and the arrogance of those negotiators is sickening. It's sickening to God and it's sickening to anyone who is a follower of Jesus that understands that pride goes before a fall. Now, our president is being given a lot of leeway, and he should, because he's done a lot of wonderful things for Israel. He's done a lot of wonderful things most of all for our own nation and how I thank God for that. But I hear people say all the time, well, he's a baby Christian. Well, I'm not sure he's a Christian. Because if we put the same rule on him that we do on people within our own churches, he wouldn't measure up. Now I'm not the authority. I don't see his heart. I pray to God that he's saved. I pray to God that he's repented of his sin and given his life to Jesus. But I don't see evidence of that. Just because somebody speaks with their mouth, they've got to do more than that. It's not a matter of just doing some good things and doing some good things behind the scenes and being good to people. All of that is great, but lost people can do that. But I think we need to start praying for our president to either get saved or get right with God because he doesn't use the language of a man of God. If people were using that language in our church or in our family, we wouldn't say they're saved. But yet we give him all the room in the world because of his political persuasion, and we want him to stay in power. And I pray that he does. I pray that the policies that his administration has brought in, I pray that they uh stay in place and that we can overcome those who would want to destroy our nation through communism and through uh an alliance with Islamic radicalism. But I want you to understand something. We're giving too much room here. We need to pray for our president that either he gets saved or gets right with God because I don't believe he's by what he says, I don't know his heart. But if I was just looking at his life, he doesn't talk like a believer. He doesn't act like a believer. And uh I know all of us don't do that from time to time, but he's out on a national stage using vulgar, ugly, godless language, and it's as though people say, Well, you know, but he's a baby Christian. Well, baby Christians have to grow. It's like nobody around him wants to call him out. I wouldn't give two hoots for those that are around him advising him, I don't know what they're telling him. But I can tell you this much when they have some alone time, they need to be talking with him about toning down his language and his uh treatment of the people of God called Israel. Israel's done nothing to him. Again, I've been behind the scenes. I've been traveling to Israel for 50 years, and I have been personally involved for the last 16, 17 years in the U.S. Israel relationship at the highest level. So don't come to me saying, Well, I know this, I know that, uh, unless I've seen you back behind the scenes with me, don't talk to me about that kind of thing. Because I don't think that is something you might know as much about as you think you do. Because I am dealing with this almost every day of my life, and certainly every week and every month of my life. And so I want you to understand that I am pro-America. I am pro-Trump. But I am telling you that he's not infallible, and he's making some very bad judgments, and I pray to God that he wakes up and that he stops putting confidence in what J.D. Vance is telling him, because from what I can hear, Vance, to the way he's talking to Israel, it's frightening to me. And and let me just say this and I'll move on. The moment we turn our back on Israel, God will take his hand to protection off us. Listen, the only reason that God has his hand of grace over America and we haven't been destroyed is simply the grace of God and the mercy of God. He's not giving us what we deserve because we have been a godless nation. I just want to tell you, I believe that God has had grace upon us because we have been the greatest supporter of the nation of Israel that there has been in the last 20 years, and I'm so grateful to God for that. But we start turning against Israel, national Israel, and God will deal with us. I do not believe in any wise, shape, form, or fashion that the Church of Jesus has replaced Israel in any sense of the word. And those of you who come from a Roman Catholic background, a Presbyterian background, a United Methodist background, an Episcopalian background, you need to understand that your denominations and your churches have been what has been called replacement theology down through the decades and for some of you the centuries. And just because somebody says I'm a Roman Catholic or somebody says I am a Methodist or somebody says I'm a Baptist or I belong to a Calvary chapel, that doesn't mean anything to me. I want to know what you believe and what you stand for. And you show me and you tell me how you believe on Israel, and I'll tell you how you interpret the Bible. Because you see, if you take the Bible as it's written and you don't try to spiritualize every passage that deals with Israel and try to replace it with the word church, you need to listen to some of the things that I have done on this subject. You can go back and listen to the 365 Bible classroom online, and you can uh see what I said. I've done 135 video podcasts of at least 15 minutes each, and I deal with this exhaustively. And so you can know where I stand on this, the hermeneutic, the method of discovery I use, my method of interpretation, and I will stand upon that until Jesus comes. The church has not replaced Israel. God's not finished with Israel, and if we think we're finished with Israel and we're going to cut them off, I can tell you God can cut us off in a minute. And if you didn't wake up in COVID, you better wake up because everything can change in America overnight. Everything can change in America with one bad decision. Everything can change in America in a month's time, in a year's time, and we still have not recovered from the deception of COVID. All I'm saying to you is that you need to pray. I need to pray. We need to pray for our president because I believe that he's making bad decisions, he is being deceived in relationship to Israel, he's making statements about Israel that he doesn't need to make, and that is a red line for me. And it might not be for you, that's fine. You believe like you want to. But as far as for me and my house, we're going to stand with Israel, and I'm not backing up on that because God never backs up on it. The covenant that God made with Abraham and David are unconditional, and God will keep his promises to them. And President Trump, he can criticize them, but he's being a hypocrite. And so is all the rest of the administration if they're telling Israel they don't need to do anything while we're ready to shoot at a moment the moment they shoot at us. You cannot do that to a nation. And to belittle the nation of Israel, like I have heard done recently when they are our friends, and I believe our greatest ally, I think is a shame and a disgrace. And that is a term the president often uses. I'm using that for the way that he is treating Israel. I think it's a shame and a disgrace. And I pray to God that somehow God will grant him repentance, that he'll clean up his mind, his mouth, his language, and that he will get off of his high horse, and that he'll understand that Israel will be here when America is gone. That's what the Bible says, whether you like it or I like it, that's what God says, and the grass will wither, the flower will fade, but the word of our God will stand forever. Let's pray for the nation of Israel, and by all means, let's pray for the United States of America and pray for our president, our vice president, pray for our Secretary of State, pray for our Secretary of War, pray for our director of the CIA. Those men, those three that I just named, are critical for us getting out of this mess. And may God help us to recover from the hole that we're digging. That's my prayer for our nation, and this is my word to you in Jesus' name. For on the way, this is Tony Crisp.
